DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING
SO WHAT IS DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING ANYHOW?
Digital scrapbooking is just like traditional scrapbooking except you use your computer. Well, I wanted to avoid getting too technical!
What I've come to realise though is that the two are not exclusive of each other. You can encorporate paid or free digital scrapping elements into a traditional page, like journaling 'blocks', or you can print off paper from your computer to use as 'hard copy' accents on a your page.
Not being an expert in 'digital' myself, my goal for this part of the site is just to make it as easy as possible for you to get free downloads of software you'll need without your having to hunt for it yourself online. Also, I want to give you links to learning resources and places where your questions can be answered by full-on digital scrappers.

A COUPLE OF ADVANTAGES THAT COME TO MIND
a) No gluey mess everywhere - however much fun that is to make!
b) Very 'child-friendly' - no small embellishments to tempt the toddler.
HOW DO YOU PRINT OUT YOUR PAGES?
There are a number of good options:
a) ONLINE SOURCES: There are many online labs that can print out your pages in various sizes & various photo papers. Professional printing can assure you it is acid free and will therefore last years.
b)You can upload your photos from your computer.
LOCAL PHOTO LABS: You can have them printed at local labs or copy centres as well.
HOW ABOUT PRINTING AT HOME?
Large Format Printers - If you want your layouts to be 12 x 12, then you will need to 'ship in' some big kit! There are excellent printers like this by HP, Epson or Canon. As with anything, online might give you the best deals - but if you'd prefer to speak to someone as you buy it - I can understand!
Smaller size printers: eg 81/2 x 11, 10x10, 8x8, 6x6, etc. There are many albums out there that are made in these smaller sizes to accommodate these smaller print outs.
